Solar Eclipses…what to expect this month..

Solar eclipses bring major life shifts. There are usually 2–5 each year, and they are followed by a lunar eclipse. Solar eclipses tend to affect our outer world. These are events meant to move us forward. They represent new beginnings that can feel disruptive: job changes, shifts in relationships, major projects, or unexpected developments.

Lunar eclipses usually follow and are more internal. They bring emotional releases, inner changes, and the closing of chapters…ie letting go of a toxic relationship, deciding to leave a job, or finally healing a long-standing trigger.

In simple terms, solar eclipses bring events to us, while lunar eclipses bring changes from us.

February 17th was our first solar eclipse this year in Aquarius 28 degrees. The area of life highlighted for you depends on your rising sign. If you have multiple planets in the house activated by this eclipse, you’ll likely feel it more strongly. You may also feel its effects if you have planets directly opposing that house.

Aries Rising- You may be starting or joining a new group project, charity, or community. Don’t be surprised if a new circle of people comes into your life to help create something meaningful together.

Taurus Rising - Your career and long-term legacy are highlighted. You may feel more driven toward your higher calling or notice shifts that push you toward greater purpose.

Gemini Rising - Curiosity is activated. You may feel drawn to learning, travel, or spiritual exploration. A new course, trip, or belief system could emerge during this eclipse.

Cancer Rising - New contracts, agreements, or deeper connections with others may come into focus. You’re engaging with people in a different, more intentional way.

Leo Rising - Your relationships with your partners takes a shift. This can be personal or professional. Friend or family. Dynamics shift, and you may begin seeing partnerships from a new perspective.

Virgo Rising - Daily routines are due for an adjustment. This eclipse highlights changes in work, health, or service to others. You’re either refining yourself or finding new ways to give and receive support.

Libra Rising - New passions may find you. This can be in a form of a person, place, or creative pursuit. This is a highly creative eclipse and can even point to pregnancy. Inspiration is strong, whether you’re creating art, romance, or a new desire.

Scorpio Rising - Your home and family life shift. This could show up as a move, renovation, or changes within the family dynamic. A new family member or change in roles is possible.

Sagittarius Rising - Communication and thought patterns are influenced. You may take an unplanned local trip, reconnect with siblings, or notice shifts in how you express yourself.

Capricorn Rising - Your finances and talents are highlighted. How you make money, or where it goes, may change. You could discover new skills or value your abilities differently.

Aquarius Rising - This eclipse is all about you. Your appearance, identity, or how you show up in the world may shift ie..a new haircut or wardrobe to a deeper change in how you operate.

Pisces Rising - Inner emotional patterns rise to the surface. A trigger may push you inward, prompting reflection or healing. Be mindful not to linger too long in heavy emotional states, awareness is the key here.

A lunar eclipse follows this on March 3rd. Later in the year, we’ll experience one more solar eclipse on August 12th, followed by a lunar eclipse on August 28th.
